Jared McBrearty is a lifelong Connecticut native who has spent most of his years in central Connecticut, building a career grounded in hard work, leadership, and service. His work ethic began early. At just 11 years old, he took on odd jobs and spent summers working on a farm picking vegetables, learning the value of responsibility and persistence.

By 16, Jared had entered the construction industry, starting with concrete work. Through dedication and hands-on experience, he worked his way up to foreman and later into supervisor roles with several companies. In 2011, he took his first step into entrepreneurship by starting a concrete construction business of his own. When winter months slowed exterior work, he partnered with a close friend to focus on interior renovations—work that eventually evolved into A1 Home Improvement, where his friend later became a co-owner.

Over the past 15 years, Jared gradually shifted his focus toward home renovation and property investment, specializing in house flips. He officially joined A1 Home Improvement in 2022, and since then the company’s revenue has grown by approximately four to five times. Along the way, they expanded and strengthened their roofing, siding, and window divisions.

Jared contributes across many areas of the business, from marketing and sales to improving installation techniques and operational procedures. He’s passionate about mentoring others and helping people grow both professionally and personally. An avid reader, he prefers a good book over watching television.

In 2023, A1 Solar was launched and quickly became a trusted solar contractor in Connecticut, combining decades of construction experience with seasoned solar professionals. Outside of work, Jared enjoys playing soccer with his 11-year-old son, staying active in his parish and the Knights of Columbus, and supporting charitable efforts that help individuals struggling with addiction.
