The study of MBBS i.e. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery commonly referred to medicine and health sciences. Studying MBBS abroad has grown exponentially over the past few years among international students. Age & Academic Requirements for MBBS Admission Abroad

Your age must be 17 years on December 31 during the admission year. There is no upper age limit to study medicine abroad. You need to satisfy the given academic requirements if you want to study medicine in a foreign medical school.

You must have completed your Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/10+2 from a recognized board or council which is equivalent to the country’s education system where you are going to study MBBS.

As an international student, you must have an aggregate percentage of 50% or above in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and must have studied English as a compulsory subject during your Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/10+2. There are some best medical colleges in the world that ask for 55 percent and aggregate, for which you need to visit the university website to know their specific requirements.

You are also required to qualify NEET i.e. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test conducted by National Medical Commission of India erstwhile known as Medical Council of India. This is a mandatory exam for all Indian medical aspirants who want to study MBBS in India. This NEET score is also necessary to study MBBS in foreign Universities where the medical universities are approved and recognised by the NMC and WHO.

You will also need to produce the Eligibility Certificate given by the MCI, presently known as NMC at the time of admission to foreign medical school.

Lastly, you must have a medical certificate that you would be needed to submit during the admission. This states that you are not suffering from any acute or severe illness or any contagious disease.

Once you are done with the following things, and satisfy the admission committee, your application for studying MBBS in a foreign medical school will be approved.
