Normally, we all see that as time changes, our behaviour also changes. As per the needs of the hour, we adults tend to transform our behaviour. How we conduct ourselves depends on the needs of the situation we are in. It`s very important to understand the changing behaviour of children in preschool in Krishna Nagar. They witness the change of behaviour in themselves and don’t know at times how to channelize their energy or how to deal with the ever-changing behavioural issues. It is very important to be aware of the difficulties.

Challenges of Behavioural Issues and Ways to Cope

It is important to be aware that behavioural difficulties indicate the areas that include self-regulation and expressive language, social and implementing skills.

Children are full of energy and are unpredictable. Their mood goes through transitional changes. Sometimes they are calm, silent, and sometimes they are full of energy, and not able to express their ever-changing emotions. It is a natural learning moment which tells us that there are types of behaviour challenges which we tend to navigate in our children.

1. Tantrums: These are natural, as children often tend to be independent, and they want to be expressive and acceptable at different levels of emotional outbursts.

How to cope: Distract their attention by showing their favourite toy, once they are calm, then discuss the problem calmly.

2. Aggression: This is seen in children when they are irritated. Children are attention seekers; they either want to be the center of attraction or want whatever they do should be approved.

How to cope: Maintain your calm and deal with your children by explaining the family rules. Discipline your children by appreciating and giving firm decisions for good behaviour.

3. Sharing and taking turns: Children are hesitant to share their favourite things or toys and becomes impatient when they have to wait for their turns.

How to cope: The good way to inculcate social skills is to take them outside where they have to share things and wait for their turns. You can also show a good example by sharing your favourite game or food item with the family members. While playing games with the family, you can share the games or sometimes play the games which your other members like.

4. Attention and control issues: This kind of behaviour can be mild or extremely adverse. It can be challenging, like yelling, running, interrupting or adopting physical aggressive behaviour.

How to cope: Promote their self-esteem and pay the right kind of attention to your children. Initiate your children in friendly conversation, which will improve their verbal communication skills and language development.

5. Self-esteem issues: Children look at others with a feeling that they are being overshadowed by them.

How to cope: Show your children that they are precious to you, and value their self-confidence. Give them verbal appreciation: Well done, that`s good. Ask them questions: Did you give a good try?, Did you have fun?

Ways to Surpass Behavioural Issues

If you keep in mind the causes of behaviour issues or challenges and try to address them, then your children at any play school in Krishna Nagar will overcome the behaviour challenges to a greater extent.

1. Make sure that the basic sleep routine and meal time are defined and adhered to. The more children get sound sleep and an adequate amount of food, they will tend to be less erratic and will be satisfied and happy.

2. Be available for them and give as much attention to them as you can. Let them understand that you are there for them in the situations where they find themselves alone. Always guide them and talk as much as you can. Explain them: how to behave in the ever-changing age-appropriate emotional situations. Let them be expressive and share things with you with confidence, and listen to their point of view with patience.

3. Children often feel neglected when they are ignored. Their self-esteem is affected when they are not being involved by their peers in activities or games. They develop the attitude of being self–critical and may not like meeting new people and new experiences. Give them ample opportunity to like themselves by appreciating, involving them in simple matters and discussions. This feeling of being respected acts wonders in upgrading the self-esteem of your children.
