With July almost ending, many parents are looking for ways to help their children get the most out of—the summer break!

Summer vacation is ideal for children to unwind and take a study break. It is when they can spend quality time with their family and have intense fun—and chaos!

However, this quality time can become boring and further amounts to total screen time if parents refrain from lavishing their kids with attention.

Instead of letting your kids spend their summer vacations scrolling through their phones and playing video games, what not consider the best summertime activities to have a blast?

The Best Activities To Try This Summer Break

Summertime is a time to have fun. There are numerous outdoor and indoor activities that you can do together to make the most out of the season.

Go Camping

Nothing compares to a good day enjoyed camping—right? Whether it\'s a short adventure in the jungle or a quick getaway to your backyard, camping will surely provide your children and you with much fun and learning. Plus, you can also tell scary stories, read good books like "Do Fireflies Bite?," play board games, make bbq, and the most classic and tasty—S’mores. Not to mention that watching a classic sitcom or comedy movie is also a great idea to make camping more fun.

“Do Fireflies Bite? is a heartwarming children’s book that follows two friends, Tanvi and Katherine, on an adventure where they discover the magic of fireflies and learn that these glowing insects are nothing to be afraid of. Instead, they are beautiful and friendly — and, more importantly, do not bite at all. It’s a story filled with friendship, curiosity, and the joy of overcoming fears — a perfect read for anyone curious about the wonderful world of insects, nature, and wildlife.

Did you know that Do Fireflies Bite?is based on a true story? Katherine once helped Tanvi hold a firefly. Together they gather knowledge and explore the trees, birds, insects, and dirt pile, too.

Make Popsicles

Kids love popsicles, and so do we. So why take advantage of this season and make some easy and tasty popsicles? Gather around with your children in the kitchen, pop some fresh frozen fruits, yogurt, cream, or simply water (sugar if necessary, or honey as your choice), and blend until smooth. Then what? Ask your children to fill the empty popsicle shells, put them in the freezer overnight, and let them wait until they are rock solid. Now savor.

Do An Act of Kindness

Nothing compares to the satisfaction of easing someone else\'s burdens. Therefore, we must instill in our kids the importance of kindness. By setting an example for your children, you can show them how goodness can improve the world. For instance, you could ask your kids to help clean the house or remove the trash for a neighbor. Assisting senior citizens to cross the street if they can do so, or even volunteering for a worthy cause since many NGOs and organizations are willing to accept the assistance of the mighty juniors, can be an excellent way to foster kindness and compassion.

Visit A Fair

Looking for a suitable way to enjoy yourself more and spend less money? A summer fair is unquestionably the best choice. There is food, rides, games, and lots to look at. Additionally, you can stay for a concert or fireworks display at night\'s end. So, look around your neighborhood or ask your local community if something similar is happening.

Foster Creativity

Summer offers a lot of free time. Instead of allowing your children to play video games or stare at mobile screens, you could encourage their imagination and creativity by keeping them engaged in creative activities. Role-playing games, DIY crafts, painting or creating art, and even play dough are just a few examples. Kinetic sand, playing in the sand, robotic kits, puzzles, and costumes are also good.
