Check your user manual for recommended battery types and ratings. It is usually not a good idea to replace another with the recommended battery type. Always select a rating equal to or greater than the recommended value.
Shake or start the marine battery
These types of marine batteries can provide high explosive power in a short time to start your engine and power your boat. When the ignition switch is activated, the starting battery supplies power to the engine. The starting battery is designed to output a large amount of current in a short time.
The starter battery has a larger number of lead plates, which are thinner and have a larger surface area to provide the necessary power.
Power or deep cycle marine battery
If you're looking to power your car's electronic devices and accessories, you'll need a deep cycle battery. Deep cycle marine batteries output less energy for a long time. It can handle longer discharge cycles when the engine is off.Deep cycle batteries are composed of fewer lead plates, and thicker lead plates can provide continuous power output for a long time.
Dual purpose or hybrid marine battery
This is a hybrid battery, which is designed to be used for both startup and deep circulation. Dual purpose battery is a mixture of the two characteristics. Like many 2-in-1 options, they don't always make your boat run at the same level as the two marine batteries.When you buy a new battery, don't forget to recycle the old battery. If properly handled in the right facilities, lead-acid batteries can be safely and completely recycled.
