Do you believe in astrology? Do you know someone who does? Maybe even your mother or grandmother? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, this guide will be essential to you! Astrology has been around since ancient times, and today people still use it to learn about their personalities, relationships, and potential futures. Unfortunately, while some astrology beliefs are still common knowledge in many countries, others may have started as natural astrological phenomena but have become myths by the time they reached the public consciousness. Here are seven of the most common silly astrology myths you could do without.
There's no Harm in Getting your Horoscope
Many people believe in astrology and find their daily horoscope helpful in planning their day. There's no harm in getting your horoscope, as long as you don't put too much stock in it. The key is to enjoy it and not take it too seriously. If the stars say that today is an excellent day for an adventure, then go ahead and have one! But if they say that you shouldn't get out of bed because the cosmos are conspiring against you, then there are plenty of other days when the stars will be on your side. And if you disagree with the message from space that morning? That's fine, too - think about what they might mean before making life-changing decisions based on them.

Top 7 Silly Astrology Myths You Couldn't Do Without
There's no shame in checking your daily horoscope, but you shouldn't put too much stock into what it says. After all, astrology is just for fun. So here are seven of the silliest astrology myths you probably believe in. And hey - even if they're true, they can't hurt anyone!
1) It takes over 30 days to go from one sign to another.
2) Your zodiac sign affects how fast you should walk during your commute to work.
3) If someone shares their birthday with a celebrity or public figure, they share qualities with them too.
4) If Mercury is retrograde, you should avoid travel and other big decisions. The same goes for Mars if it has a fiery aspect (like being conjunct Pluto). It's best to wait until these planets move out of this challenging aspect before taking on any significant projects!
3) It's fun to see how accurate they are
We all know that astrology is based on the alignment of the planets and stars and their influence on our lives. But did you know that some myths about astrology are just plain silly? 1) Mars is the planet of war. Mars isn't a planet! It's a red dwarf star. 2) Scorpios like spicy food. No one likes spicy food! Unless they can handle it! 3) Sagittarians are athletic. When was the last time you saw a skinny older man shoot an arrow? 4) Virgos like flowers and gardening. Virgos don't exist; it's not a zodiac sign! 5) Pisces people love pets but hate sports. Fish don't have opposable thumbs to type or make phone calls, so how would they ever pet a dog?
4) If I ignore it, it will go away
We've all been there. We've seen something we don't like, and our first instinct is to ignore it. But that's not always the best course of action. Sometimes, the thing we're forgetting is a sign that something needs to change. And if we continue to ignore it, things will only get worse.
If I'm in this funk for too long, I'll lose my mind: The pressure of living can sometimes be overwhelming. It takes over our thoughts and consumes us with worry. When you have too many disappointments or feel overwhelmed by your responsibilities, you may find yourself in a funk for an extended period where nothing seems to matter anymore.
But what if I stay in this state? What if I let myself sink into despair? Well, then you'll lose your mind! And while that might sound extreme on the surface, think about how life can feel when everything goes wrong—when we are drowning in negativity and surrounded by anger.
5) I don't believe in it anyway
I don't believe in astrology, but I think it's fun to read my horoscope now and then. I don't put much stock in what it says, but it's entertaining nonetheless. Here are some of the silliest astrology myths that I can't do without. I've always wanted to be a Taurus: Maybe you should give your kids birthdays at different times of the year so they can have their zodiac sign! If you want to be a Taurus or any other star sign, for that matter, try this simple Google search: How old is your birthday?
Did you know? The sun isn't as big as we thought: according to space images from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO), its diameter is about 865 000 kilometres wide. That's about 100 times larger than Earth!

7) Will you read my Tarot cards and tell me about my future?
7) Horoscopes are old school. My generation doesn't get them
I get it; horoscopes are old school. I mean, your grandparents probably read them every morning with their coffee. But just because they're old doesn't mean they're not accurate. A lot of the younger generation is starting to realize that re's some truth to the predictions made in horoscopes. And although you may think that astrology is just for teenagers who like to keep up with their faves, there's an art and science behind reading these zodiac signs. So while they may be silly, at least don't dismiss them out of hand.
