She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry, continuing a family legacy in dentistry inspired by her grandfather, who practiced for nearly fifty years. With over two decades of experience, she has been an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Dr. Vander Schaaf has also contributed significantly to the Arizona Dental Association, serving as a delegate and on the Executive panel of the Central Arizona Dental Association.
