QR code installation

Open the olysim app or website and select the QR Code option.
On your Android device, go to Settings > Network & Internet.
Tap Mobile Network, then select Add or the “+” icon.
If you see the message “Don’t have a SIM card?”, press Next.
Scan the QR code provided by olysim.
Adjust your mobile network settings as needed, enabling mobile data and data roaming.

Manual installation

If you prefer manual installation, follow these steps:

Open the olysim app or website and go to the Manual tab.
Please note the SM-DP+ address and the activation code provided.
On your Android device, go to Settings > Network & Internet.
Tap Mobile Network, then select Add or the “+” icon.
Select Enter code manually and enter the SM-DP+ address and other required details.
Follow the on-screen instructions to activate the eSIM.
Make sure your mobile data and roaming settings are set to your travel needs.

How to activate eSIM on your Android device

Once you have purchased the eSIM, you should have received an email with installation and activation instructions. The activation process varies depending on the type of eSIM prepaid plan you have purchased:

eSIM activation can happen in two ways:

This error occurs when your device is locked to your carrier, meaning that the eSIM will work with the network of the carrier that locked it. To check if your Android is carrier locked, follow these steps:

Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network operators
Disable the Automatically select option

If you only see your carrier name, your phone is locked. If you see multiple carriers, your Android device is unlocked and can use an eSIM.

If your device is locked, please contact your carrier to request an unlock. Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria and follow the unlocking process.

"Your eSIM is not ready yet"

This eSIM error usually occurs on Android devices when the eSIM is already installed, when airplane mode is enabled, when there is an unstable Wi-Fi connection, or if you try to reinstall a removed eSIM. To resolve this installation error, follow these steps:

Check if the eSIM is already installed by checking ICCID.

"Plan already in use"
