Jared McBrearty’s story begins in central Connecticut, where he has lived most of his life and learned the value of hard work early on. At just 11 years old, he took on odd jobs and spent summers picking vegetables on local farms. By 16, he entered the construction world through concrete work, steadily rising through the ranks to become a foreman and later a supervisor for multiple companies.
In 2011, Jared launched his first concrete construction business. When the winter months slowed workflow, he teamed up with a close friend to do interior renovations—a collaboration that eventually evolved into A1 Home Improvement. Over the past 15 years, his work expanded into home renovation and property investment, especially house flipping, where he found a passion for transforming homes and communities.
After officially joining A1 Home Improvement in 2022, Jared helped increase the company’s revenue by four to five times. He also played a major role in expanding the roofing, siding, and window divisions. His contributions touch every part of the business, from marketing and sales to refining installation processes. A natural mentor, Jared enjoys helping others grow both professionally and personally. An avid reader, he’ll always choose a good book over TV.
In 2023, he helped launch A1 Solar, which has quickly become a trusted solar contractor in Connecticut. The division blends decades of construction expertise with seasoned solar professionals.
Outside of work, Jared enjoys playing soccer with his 11-year-old son, who often joins him at the office and on job sites. He remains active in his parish, the Knights of Columbus, and charitable efforts supporting hospitals and individuals battling addiction.
