After the departure of the Nissan Juke, the crossover segment is now dominated by the Honda HR-V. Indeed, the HR-V is not alone but it sells better than other models. The reason the HR-V is more attractive to the public is because of the reasonable price and masculine design.
Honda HR-V or Hi-rider Revolutionary Vehicle was introduced as an answer to consumer demand who wants a small vehicle, but has all the advantages possessed by SUV-type vehicles. HR-V has ample luggage space, clearer visibility, maneuverability, great performance and is economical in fuel consumption.
However, for the Indonesian market, Honda only provides the HR-V with conventional 1.5 and 1.8 liter engines. So, is the HR-V's conventional 1.8 liter engine superior to the C-HR?
For the standard variant, the Toyota C-HR has a 2ZR-FBE engine with a capacity of 1,800 cc, 4 cylinders. The power produced is 141 hp with a maximum torque that can be achieved reaching 17.4 Kgm.
The 1.8-liter SOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine belonging to the HR-V can produce a power of 137 hp at 6,500 Rpm and a masculine torque of 169 Nm at 4,300 Rpm. It's still inferior to the Toyota C-HR actually, but still the HR-V 1.8 is more desirable.
Another thing that certainly makes the HR-V 1.8 always in demand is the price. Because, PT Honda Prospect Motor sold it at Rp. 420.8 million. The specifications are narrowly inferior but compensated by Honda at a rational price.
Typical Honda Relief Interior
More points that make the HR-V superior is the spacious cabin. Based on the results of testing by the media, when we sit at the front and back, the HR-V still offers a comfortable sitting position.
The interior of the Honda HR-V is made more oriented towards making it easier for the driver, just look at the design of the dashboard center cluster that leads to the driver. Type 1.8 is equipped with a Power Panoramic Sunroof that can be opened electrically. Riders and passengers can enjoy the beautiful sky more widely during the trip.
Ultra Seat on the HR-V is divided into refresh mode (connecting the front seat to the rear seat), tall mode (upholding the rear seat) and a utility mode that can make the rear seats fold flat on the floor.
This is thanks to the use of a sharing platform with the Honda Jazz. The platform also positions the fuel tank under the front seat. The cabin of the Honda HR-V is also the most practical in terms of storage and feature settings.
