We all know, enough, that Machine Learning is a demanding skill, for sure. Machine Learning is handling all our tasks. It is ruling over everybody's life. Whether it is predicting the weather, suggesting the best route for a quick reach to the destination. Or a recommendation for movies, or a better-decison making. It is helping in every possible field. And many of the students also want to learn it. But many of them have myths in their mind, which stops them from moving a step forward. They think it needs math; they thought, This takes so much time to learn. They thought a professional could only learn it.
But this is not the truth; everyone can learn what they want to, if they have the potential. Here are 3 Myths, which are usually held in most students’ minds. Let’s see.
Myth 1: “Machine Learning is Only for Coders”
This is the myth, which I guess every student must have in their minds. Machine Learning only learn from professionals who have a good background in coding. Or those who have computer knowledge at an advanced level. Can only learn it. But this is not the truth.
The Fact is:
Machine Learning is a step-by-step process, which can only be possible if you do it properly, by focusing. A professional Machine Learning Institute in Delhi always starts with the basics: basic Python knowledge, data handling, and basic ML algorithms.
And if you are a beginner, then don’t worry, it will always start with basic core concepts to set your foundation. Now, many ML, advanced tools are coming in the market, but you can learn them by being consistent.
Myth 2: You need Expensive Hardware to Learn Machine Learning
This is the 2nd myth, which students carry with them from the start of learning. They think, a heavy graphics card and a powerful laptop can work to learn ML. But no, no powerful and expensive laptop is needed to learn ML. This only delays the learning of students.
The Reality is:
So, students do not need to buy powerful hardware. Because many of the Institutes provide students with access to computing systems. And there are many ML tasks, which can also easily run on platforms like Google Colab. These are free and fast to run.
There are many YouTube videos, tutorials, and some basic requirements that help students to learn data modeling, coding, data handling, etc. They don’t need to spend more money on such expensive devices.
Myth 3: Machine Learning Jobs are only for People with Degrees
This is the last but not least, that Machine Learning jobs are only for those who have experience and a degree. But no, this is also not the truth.
Reality is:
Companies now longer check their degrees and experience. They see your skills, if you have skills to work with data, data models, data handling, good at decision making. Whether you haven’t worked for 1 year, it doesn’t matter. You should just have the “skills”. You will definitely get a job in a good company. You can work as a :
- Junior Data Analyst
- Machine Learning Intern
- Python Developers, etc.
So, stop believing in the myths, just be focused, and trust in yourself that you can learn anything you want.
