The countdown to Interpack 2026 is on, and Allied Pharma has set the stage early by announcing a collaboration with ACG to showcase two high-performance packaging machines at the event. Here's what you need to know about both.

Blister X: Built for the Demands of Large-Scale Production

In pharmaceutical manufacturing, consistency under pressure separates good equipment from great equipment. The Blister X delivers on that front as a flat-forming, rotary-sealing, continuous-motion blister packaging machine engineered for high-volume output. With full servo control across all motion axes, the machine maintains uniform blister pack quality regardless of production speed.

Technical specifications include forming speeds of 55 cpm for thermoforming and 45 cpm for cold-forming applications, supported by a generous maximum blister size of 276 mm × 220 mm. The enlarged forming area accelerates cycle times without compromising precision — a critical balance for high-throughput production lines.

Karton X: Where Engineering Meets Industrial Design

Allied Pharma's Karton X arrives at Interpack with a What iF Design Award already to its name - a fitting recognition for a machine that reimagines what pharmaceutical equipment can look like. Inspired by the clean, angular profile of fighter-bomber aircraft, the Karton X features a geometric enclosure with large transparent front doors that don't just look impressive: they give operators immediate visual access to internal components, streamlining both maintenance and changeovers.

Capable of processing 300 items per minute - handling blisters, bottles, tubes, vials, and ampoules - the Karton X pairs raw throughput with thoughtful usability. Its HMI travels horizontally along the machine's full length, giving operators access from any position without repositioning themselves. Flat, unobstructed external surfaces simplify cleaning and meet modern hygiene standards.

Sustainability has also been built into the machine's foundation: the use of recyclable materials including steel, aluminum, and Corian reflects a broader shift in how equipment manufacturers are approaching environmental responsibility.
