I feel our world needs more greenery and environment-friendly actions.
Imagine what a world it will be if all of us plant saplings and nurture trees…
I say- “Yes We Can Plant Trees“.
Planting trees gives immense satisfaction and happiness to me.
I have tried to involve the community in my tree plantation endeavours.
Last year, I organized a plantation drive at a nearby field.
VanaMahotsav at our locality in Bhubaneswar was much appreciated.
Just plantation of seeds or saplings is not enough. They need to be watered, cared and respected.
To take better care, I planted some seeds and saplings in the lanes near my house. Any suitable free space (like the space between the walls of our home and our neighbour's as shown in the images above and below) is fine for plantation.
How many saplings can you spot? Can you recognize the plant species in the following image?
I am so proud to share that many of the seeds have germinated and the plants are growing really well. I am excited to see them grow. In a couple of years, they will soon start giving mango & bel fruits!
I have adopted some areas and ensure regular weeding and cleaning there.
Clearing litter like polythene bags, wrappers etc. is a challenge. It pains me to find people disregarding the environment.
We need to adopt eco-friendly and green ways throughout the world. This is our planet.
Everyone's good intentions, involvement and actions are needed for a green world.
