The Annapurna Sanctuary trail takes you through wonderland where the alpine forests behind tea house lodges with spread out green meadows beyond the front portico of the lodge & the last of the flowers still blooming in the first rush of autumn winds gives us those blushing memories of the Christmas Yuletide to come bringing with it thoughts of all thing bright & beautiful as we trek from the foothills of the Annapurna South region up to the base camp of Annapurna South.

This trek is specifically designed for those trekkers who want to explore the Annapurna Himalayas in more comfortable zones as the program is planned to involve you more with the flora and fauna, taking you to spots where the open vistas of the Annapurna Himalaya including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, Nilgiri, Tukuche Peak and many other snow capped peaks are better positioned for you to get better sights of these world famous mountains as you hike the walks…

The Annapurna Sanctuary is known to be the classic walk through the Annapurna Conservation Area, right into the soul of the mountains as your gentle walk starts from the lowland to the wonderful high mountain country with breathtaking views of the Himalayas and their Glaciers. The trek involves numerous ascents and descents but the challenges are immensely rewarding as there are many alternative routes to the sanctuary as well, all culminating at Chhomrung.

The trip starts with a drive to Pokhara – the city of lakes – & the next day we take a short drive to Nayapul following the same route of the Ghorepani Trek, After hiking around Ghorepani, where you spend one night and early in the morning you ascend up to gorgeous Poon Hill to see the sunrise over the Himalayas including the Dhaulagiri (8167m), Nilgiri (7041m), Fishtail (6998m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7939m) , Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna south (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Lamjung Himal (6986m),Tukuche peak (6920m) among a host of others.

After visiting Poon hill you retrace your path back to Ghorepani and follow the route to Tadapani for an overnight after which we trek down to Chomrong the next day and you start your mission to Base camp after stopping at dovan and Deurali for the overnights. We backtrack from the Annapurna Base camp to Chomrong & then catch the trail to Jhinu where there is a natural hot spring that you can enjoy If you wish to ( if you are interested) then you continue your trekking to Pothana where we stop for an overnight before you drive to Pokhara from Phedi after few hours of cool trekking with a light breeze blowing against your hair.
