Now it’s been a month since we have been talking about the iPadOS 15’s new features, and we still have not covered everything. Talking about its new features, iPadOS brings new features that will help you customize the iPad’s home screen. You can add all sorts of interesting things which will help you, such as the App library, widgets and hide pages, and much more. So, whether you want to make your home screen look more productive or just better looking. This blog will help you in customizing your home screen. Let’s dive in and enjoy our tricks and tips.

How to Add Widgets to iPad Home Screen

Firstly, to experience the Widget, you have to install the iPadOS on your iPad. Because if you have iOS 14, you will not be able to use widgets on your iPads home screen. If you want to check if you have the latest iOS or not, go to Settings > General > About. Check if you don’t have iOS 15, then update your software.

Now, after confirming, go to your iPad’s home screen. Hold and touch any space on your screen. As the icons start to shake, tap on the (+) on the top left corner.

Now the widget selection panel will open, showing you different widgets available for you to choose from. So, just select the widgets that you want to add to your home screen. You can also use the search bar if you want to search for a specific widget of your choice. After you have found the right widget, you can tap on Add Widget, and you can add them on your screen. Or there is another shortcut option; you can just drag and drop the widget to the home screen.

Access App Library:

Another feature that is added to iPadOS 15 is the App library. This feature was earlier introduced in the iOS 14+, so if you are an iPhone user, you may know this feature. It’s like a library of apps that are installed on your iPad. The Apps are automatically grouped according to their feature or use. The App library can be accessed in two ways.

  • Firstly, this is one of the simple things you have or must have done on your iPhone. Just go to the last home screen of the iPad and then swipe left one more time, and it will open an App library.
  • Secondly, you can access the App library on iPad from Dock too. Just tap on the first icon on the right side to go to the App library.

Turn Off App Library in Dock:

If you don’t want the App library icon to take a large amount of space in your Dock. You can also remove it easily. Go to the Settings > Home Screen. After that, just deactivate the button next to the Show app library in Dock.

Easily Hide and Move Home Screen Pages:

So, if you think your apps are scattered all over your different home screens. Instead of removing apps from the pages one by one, you can remove/hide the entire home screen page on your iPad. To do that, long-press the home screen until the apps start to dance. Then you will see all your home pages and apps in one place. Uncheck the pages you want to remove/hide from your home screen. Now, tap on done to make your changes permanent. Doing a similar process, you can unhide them too.

Conclusion:

So, these are some ways by which you can easily make your home screen look better or productive. If you feel like you don’t want these things, you can reset them by going to the settings > General > Reset > Reset home screen layout. Hope you find this information useful.
