Q1. Should I buy a full-face or half-face helmet?
A. Let me tell you one thing, if you are even considering buying a half-face helmet just drop that thought out of your mind. Only go for a full-face helmet as they are designed to protect your face as well along with the head.
Q2. I dropped my helmet should I buy a new one?
A. Yes. The helmet shell is designed to break on impact in order to protect your head. In case you've dropped your helmet then it's probably not that effective as a new one and you should consider getting a new one.
Q3. Which are helmet safety standards?
A. There are numerous helmet safety standards to choose from. The widely and most commercially used ones are DOT and ECE. Some other stringent ones are SNELL and SHARP. In India we have ISI approved helmets.
Q4. Is there any good budget helmet?
A. You can find hundreds of helmets under 2000 rupees here. They are really good, and the good thing about this list is it features only full-faced helmets.
Q5. I ride throughout the day, which kind of helmet to choose?
A. One of the most important aspects you must consider apart from the full-faced helmet while buying is to check the visor type the helmet offers. Always go for a clear visor in case you ride during the night time. A smoke visor is of no use at nighttime as the visibility is almost nil.
