Design
The HP P500 uses a metal casing. It looks spotless and sleek. HP had made the portable SSD P500. It has a single USB-C port. It lets you connect to the drive. HP P500 has activity LED indication. It is useful when data is accessed, or transfer is finished.

Cable
It has a USB-C to A male to male cable. However, the cable is too short. Most desktop computers have their 10 Gbps USB port at the back, so the included cable means you’ll be crawling under your desk from time to time. A minor objection is that there is no activity indicator. Many companies include a small LED near the USB-C port, so you can easily see when the drive is finished with a long copy operation or when data is accessed.
Performance
The HP P500 really can not impress compared to other USB 3.1 drives. The drive is not based on the NVMe standard. It uses the UFS interface. In other words, it uses a Universal Flash Storage system. It was developed for cameras, smartphones, and other electronic devices. In short, HP P500 does not deliver great performance, but it is better than other storage devices. However, overall performance is better than any USB or mechanical HDD. You will get almost 400 MB/s reading speed and 250 MB/s writing speed.
