We are seeking a Network Systems Architect for a 12-month fixed-term contract based on an established organization based in West Sussex. The successful applicant will have previous experience of designing embedded network architectures- strong multimedia over IP communications. You will have knowledge of software network stacks as well as the traditional network infrastructure perimeter (switches, routers, firewalls, cryptos, modems, etc.) An understanding of network security accreditation is also required.
You will be involved in the preparation of Requirement Specifications for Communication Subsystems and communicate this to design teams. This role requires you to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Detailed knowledge of multimedia over IP Communication Systems
?Multi-vendor virtual & physical network design and implementation at layer 2 and layer 3 including multicast, firewalls, QoS, VPNs and cryptography devices
?Knowledge and experience of Time Sensitive Networks (TSN)
?Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP stack including tuning for performance and reliability
?An understanding of Ethernet Protocols (10Base2 to 10 Gigabit)
?Distribution of Audio and Video over Ethernet
?Audio and Video Codecs
?Network vulnerability testing
?Knowledge of intra platform communication subsystems
?Experience of interfacing with third-party organizations
?Educated to either degree or HNC/HND level.
?Interest in system design.
