1. Amer Fort, Jaipur

No other structure will bring you back to the glorious history of Jaipur as impeccably as the massive Amer Fort. Founded on the remains of an ancient Amer city of Meena's kings and incredible technological mastery, the Amer fort has been mired in history. This is also called as Amber.  The fort consists of a collection of gardens designed on the various level, magnificent palaces such as a magnificent Sheesh Mahal, historical temples such as the Shrine Shila Devi, frescoed rooms, marble-stained roofs, and a decorative garden decorated in the style of Islamic Char bagh.

2. Hawa Mahal, Jaipur

This palace is yet another lovely building, built-in 1747 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, which is among the most popular attractions in Jaipur. Another famous historical attraction, named Jantar Mantar, is visible from the palace. The rooms in the palace provide some stunning and clear views of the market place. The legend says that in the ancient times, the ladies from the royal family use to sit and view the market place from the windows.  In the palace, you'll find plenty of marvelous architectural attractions. You can visit this place from Morning 9 AM till 4.30 in the evening. 

3. Jantar Mantar, Jaipur

The pink town of Jaipur is an old-fashioned charming place. While Jantar Mantar is a little less known than the others, although there are many interesting locations to explore in Jaipur. It's not a fortress or a palace, but it's a celestial observatory designed in order to serve the outdoor fascination of the Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. It is claimed to be our country's biggest observatory.  This site has been designated a World Heritage Site by Unesco owing to its location in the Samrat Yatra, the biggest sundial. In the observatory, there are numerous instruments to research the precise location and distance of astronomical objects in the sky.

4. Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur

Jaigarh Fort is among the most intimidating historical places in Jaipur, founded by Sawai Jai Singh II in the year 1726. This fortress is made of red sandstone and is located in the ranges of Aravalli, on the Hill of Eagles (also called as Cheel ka Teela). It was designed to store arms and guns and to defend Amer Fort from its enemies, also called the Fort of Victory. The locals feel that there is a subterranean tunnel that connects the two forts. 

Similar to Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort has sturdy walls, middle eastern-style gardens and complicated lattice doors. The fort has some panoramic views of the architecture of Amer Fort and the vicinity. However, Jaivana, the biggest cannon on wheels, located at the top of the Jaigarh Fort is perhaps the most popular attraction in the fort  It is also one of Jaipur's few historic locations to drive your car into the fortress.

5. City Palace, Jaipur

The City Palace of Jaipur is a museum and royal house and should be included in your list in Jaipur at least for one time visit. In the middle of the nine blocks comprising Jaipur, sits the Royal Palace. Jaipur also holds the pride of the first planned ancient city of India. You can visit the City Palace for approx. 1-2 hours. Interestingly there is an audio guide that you can opt while entering the palace, which will give you proper instructions on how to cover the palace to get a wholesome experience. Apart from the history, It is a striking fort and is especially renowned for the sculptures on the walls, which as well as its rainwater collection system makes it an architectural marvel.

6. Jal Mahal

Jaipur's prominent Jal Mahal (Water Palace) is located on the Man Sagar Lake which is apparently nearby the famous Amber fort. Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I have established this place to rest while the royal family members go out for the traditional duck hunting in Mid 18th Century. In reality, the palace has four floors beneath the harbor, with specially built chalk mortar to keep water from being drained. The palace was renovated once and is yet to be opened up for the public to visit, yet you can view it from the outside.
