Humla Trek Starting & Ending Points
Humla Circuit Trek starts and ends in Simikot. From Simikot, the northern trail follows the lower part of the ChuwaKhola valley, Thehe, Dojam village. Spending one night at Dojam village, and trail heads to the north of Dojam. About a week later, Dojam will be the last village before Limi Valley. Beyond Dojam, the trail follows the ChuwaKhola valley to the KarchingKharka. From KharchingKharka, we follow the NyingKhola valley up to the foothill of Chandi Himal and Changwathan, and we join ChyakpolungKhola and descend to Limi Valley. At the end, passing Nyalu pass 5001m, we exit from Simikot.
How To Reach Humla Trek
You will fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, near the Indian border, and the next day you will fly to Simikot. From that point, the trek starts to reach the Limi Valley while crossing several passes. After visiting the most attractive villages, your route will head toward the north, to the Lapche pass. Then, you head east through a broad valley and pass at 5475m to arrive at the bottom of the mountain. The landscape is desert-like, with an ambiance of the world's end. It is a rough immersion in the high pastures and its huge Tibetan plateau pastoral life.
