HyperspectralImagingutilizes a high-frequency sound wave for producing high-frequencyimages of the patient's body. These images can be compared toconventional x-ray or computed radiography. A medical imagingspecialist uses a variety of methods to capture a sample of thepatient's body. One of these methods is called hyperspectral imaging.This process has two components, the primary component consists of ascanner that captures the reflected sound wave and an instrumentcalled a thin probe that collects the waves.
Onemethod used in the process of HyperspectralImagingis called the morphic domain technique. It uses a series of lasersand an instrument called a morphoscope. The different wavelengths oflight that are reflected are collected on the flat monitor that isplaced above the patient's abdomen. In this way, the reflected datacube of the patient is reconstructed by the computer. A computerprogram reconstructs the data cube with the help of the patient'sbones and the distributed muscle fibers.
