The Massachusetts restaurant industry has called on regulators to prevent new casino resorts in the state from serving alcohol until early hours. This is because it can have an irreparable negative impact on existing restaurants in the area where the hotel is located situated. 슬롯머신

Las Vegas gaming and hospitality giant MGM Resorts International is gearing up for a large opening recently added to its consolidated resort portfolio. The $950 million MGM Springfield will open on Aug. 24 and become Massachusetts' first full-fledged commercial casino.

Casino officials are seeking permission from the Massachusetts Game Commission to serve drinks at game venues until 4 a.m. or two hours after the opening hours of state restaurants and bars end. MGM's casino floor will be open 24 hours a day.

MGM Springfield general manager Alex Dixon explained that serving alcohol after 2 a.m. will provide MGM Springfield's customers with a casino experience to look forward to when the gaming facility starts.

The official also pointed out that all bars located outside the game floor will close at 2 a.m., as will other bars around the state.

The Massachusetts legislature has previously approved a proposal to allow a state commercial casino approved by the state's gambling regulator to serve drinks until 4 a.m. A five-man gaming panel is expected to vote on MGM Springfield's request later this month. Springfield City Council's Special Committee on Casino Supervision approved the request earlier this week.
