A bathroom is a place that should be as chic as possible. There are some crucial elements to check before designing a bathroom, such as the size of the room itself, ventilation and lighting. All those things will influence your decision on what kind of design you want for your bathroom including the tile flooring.

If you don't have much time or inspiration for designing your own bathroom, maybe it's time to give up and leave all this work to someone who knows what he/she is doing. Luckily designers came up with many ideas that will suit any taste. From classic designs to minimalistic or even futuristic vision, there is something for everyone! With so many different combinations out there it can be hard to find the perfect tiles for your new shower room, but don't worry it will be easy as 1-2-3. Or should we say that the top three trends for this year are:

1.       Tiles with textures and patterns

This is probably not a surprise to anyone since we've seen many of those designs over the last couple of years. But what designers do now is use them big time and put them in every inch of your tiles: walls, flooring and even ceiling! The only place where you won't see those kinds of patterns or details would be on your windows or shower screens. So if you like those trendy touches then choose one where they used such elements as well, otherwise go simple and classic with plain white (for example).

They are not only about the patterns but also about bringing different kind of materials together. You can find stone, wood or even metallic tiles combined with other modern elements. This way you will have the best of both worlds: classic and trendy at the same time!

2.       Two-tone Tiles

If you want to go crazy then you can definitely try two-tone tiles this year! The idea is simple, choose one base color for your tiles (such as white) and another vibrant one (red maybe?) for an accent. Keep in mind that there are many ideas when it comes to colors; they don't always need to be contrasting or complementing either. You can easily achieve great results by creating a monochrome design, even though it can be challenging to find the right tone for your flooring.

3.       Minimalistic Tiles

Minimalism is everywhere! From fashion and home appliances to art and so on, everyone wants simple yet elegant designs that suit any interior, no matter if we talk about a room or a house as a whole. Designers saw this trend coming and decided to use it in their bathroom design projects as well. If you want something clean and spacious then go with minimalism since it doesn't have many components and details, thus creating an illusion of depth or size depending on what you prefer. You can even make the tiles look uneven thanks to the grout lines (which will give you more texture) but don't exaggerate it or you'll end up with an uncomfortable bathroom that is hard to clean.
