- Children and ladies require a valid document to prove their relationship. Certificate or birth Certificate that shows parents' names (notarized by a Canadian notary public or Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs) is required and must be in English, French. There are no other languages accepted.

- Non-Canadian applicants should present a valid original permanent Residence card, and then follow the steps listed below after stamping your photocopy

- Pilgrims with names that are not Muslim require a letter from an Islamic Center showing their conversion to Islam.
- For married women who travel alone there are the following rules to follow:
- She must be older than the age of 45.
- A letter of permission from your husband that is signed and stamped by a notary.
- An ID document that shows the Mahram's signature (passport or driver's license).
- If a child is traveling with one parent there are the following rules to follow:
- Letter of consent from other parent authorizing the transportation of their child.
- A photocopy of the ID of the parent who has given consent, with signature and the name that of the parent (passport or driver's license).
- It is also mandatory for both children and women to be supported by a spouse/ or male parent, with the appropriate evidence such as a husband or childbirth certificate, marriage certificate.
- If any pilgrimage is planning to travel to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visa it is recommended that they have pre-arranged accommodations and return tickets, otherwise, the request will not be accepted.
Plan a trip for Makkah in the middle of Medina:
Madina
If you're planning to perform Umrah it is recommended to go to Makkah in addition to Medina. If you are in a jam-packed time, I suggest flying to Medina to perform Ihram. Medina airport is close to Masjid and is easy to get there initially. It is required to perform Ihram prior to Umrah. This is the reason why people perform Ihram at the connecting airports prior to going into miqat station.
It is also performed in Medina. There is a good connection to Mecca and Medina and it is very simple to travel with children.
