Arsenal are keeping tabs on Morgan Gibbs-White as Nottingham Forest weigh up cashing in on their star man.
Forest were slapped with a four-point deduction this week after being found to have exceeded the £61m yearly loss threshold by £34.5m. Summer departures are now on the cards as Nuno Espirito Santo looks to balance the books.
Gibbs-White, a £42.5 million buy from Wolves in 2022, has been a standout performer for Forest. And it's understood the title-chasing Gunners are now monitoring his availability with interest.
Mikel Arteta is currently well stocked up top, but the Spanish chief wants to reshape his ranks again once the transfer window reopens. Emile Smith-Rowe, who has become a periphery figure at the Emirates, is facing an exit from north London.
And versatile Gibbs-White has been shortlisted as a potential arrival who could fill his space in Arteta's revamped squad. The 24-year-old has made 28 appearances in the Premier League so far this season, registering three goals and five assists.
He has justified his hefty price tag since his move from Molineux two years ago and is highly-regarded among fans. In October, Gibbs-White even spoke positively about one of Arsenal's own current standout performers.

“Bukayo [Saka] for me is at the minute one of the best players in the world,” Gibbs-White told Premier League media. “I just think with Bukayo, he doesn’t go out of his comfort zone, he knows what he’s good at.
“He’s mastered it and it works every time, cut inside on your left, boom, goal, he must practice it every single day in training.”
