  1. Make an outline of the fruit slices with a pencil on your 180 GSM sketchbook.

      2. For the peel, use dark orange gouache on the outer layer of the fruit slices

      3. Nothing beats a pulpy orange. Mix orange, white and yellow colours together, this will bring out a shade that is both warm and lively. Use it on the inner portion of the citrus art.

      4. Moving on to the layer between the peel and the pulp. Mix yellow and white to get the desired creamy shade and paint with a flat brush on your 180 GSM sketchbook

      5. The pulp of an orange is both textured and succulent. To bring out this realistic effect in the painting, mix the following colors together- orange, light yellow and white. Use the mixture to draw small patterns in the portion of the pulp with a round brush.

                     Next, mix a little light yellow and white together. Use a round brush and shade the partition between each piece of the pulp.
