Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Season 5 started with some incredible changes, and now Week 1 challenges are also started. Just like Marvel-themed challenges in the previous season, this one has brought Star Wars themed challenges for players. The new challenges and side quests have already started, and players have to quickly prepare for next week’s challenges. From adding dancing Kratos to driving an elegant, sporty car, things are pretty much interesting.
Week 1 is packed with plenty of challenges, and one asks players to drive the fancy sporty car, Whiplash and hit speed 88 MPH. Indeed, Whiplash is a sports car and has incredible speed, but hitting speed isn’t too easy. So here is the guide to hit Speed 88 in Whiplash.
Reach Speed 88 in Whiplash
Players who have played the last Season of Fortnite are slightly familiar with this challenge. The Whiplash car belongs to none other than Tony Stark. In Season 5, the crossover of Tony Stark will play a major role, and his hidden lab at Lake House is also part of the crossover. In the previous season, there was also a challenge related to the Whiplash.
The good thing about Season 5 is that players don’t have to wear any special Tony Stark costume to complete this challenge. Players simply need to get in the car and drive it to reach speed 88. But before hitting the speed, players should also be aware of its location, so here is the guide for it.
In Season 4, the best location for finding Whiplash was Stark Industries. But unfortunately, this location is no longer available in the game due to the map’s changes. Good this for players because they can still rely on some of the Season 4 locations to find Whiplash. So even if Stark Industries is no longer available, there’s no need to take the stress.
Reach Speed 88
The first and the most basic thing players need to remember is to avoid all central and deserted areas of Season 5. There are plenty of long & straight rods available on the map, so try to drive on these types of roads while completing the mission. The best place to start driving is Sweaty Sands. There you’ll find two Whiplash cars and a long stretched road that is heading both west and east out of the town.
While driving on a straight road, it will be pretty easy to hit speed 88. Just make sure not to lower your speed until the turbo hits. Once the turbo begins, it will reach the speed of the car to 120 MPH. Once hit the required speed, a successful mission notification will appear on the screen.
Most of the Fortnite cars don’t have turbo boost, and Whiplash is a special car with turbo boost. Season 5 Week 1 challenges are truly incredible, and most of its challenges are new and unique. However, if any player has already completed Weekly challenges, they can play side quests to grind XP.
