If you stay away from home for work or studying, then you surely understand the lure of home-cooked meals. The love and care with which your mother prepares food is irreplaceable. But a food aggregator platform in the city is offering delicious home-cooked meals from the kitchens of home cooks to offices and your homes. Atithi Khana has about 20 home cooks on its roster and they prepare delicious food on a daily basis from Thiruvanmyur, Adyar, Taramani and Mandaveli to RA Puram, Alwarpet, Royapettah and Mount Road.
They ensure hygienic food, prompt delivery and daily change of menu. They have everything from roti-sabzi, paratha-sabzi, North Indian thali combos, where sabzi and dal changes daily to variety rice, South Indian meals options, where kootu and poriyal changes daily. You can also opt for salads and millet options, if you are watching your diet. They even offer snack varieties in select locations. The menu is entirely vegetarian.
Atithi Khana was started by engineering graduate Aashish Nahar in July 2015 and over three years they have managed to steadily add more cooks and cater to a lot many locations across the city. Currently, they deliver about 300 orders on a daily basis. “It is important to understand that we are an aggregator for home-cooked food and don’t have our own kitchen, as such. We connect home kitchens to customers through our delivery mechanism and logistics. We ensure that the home-kitchens are clean and produce a certain quality of food,” says Nahar.
You need to place your order between 9.30 am to 11.30 am for lunch and from 5 to 6.30 pm for dinner.
