If you have one of the higher trim Mazda vehicles, then chances are that it has an Active Driving Display, also known as a heads-up display. This feature is great for showing you important vehicle information without you having to take your eyes off the road. It has many settings that can be adjusted.
So, how do you customize a Mazda heads-up display[tesla model 3 front trunk]?
Heads-Up Display Step-by-Step Guide
To customize the settings on your Mazda vehicle’s Heads-Up Display (HUD), you’ll need to find the proper menu in your multimedia system. Take a look:
Select the Settings icon on the multimedia Home screen
Select the AD-Disp tab
And you’re in! It’s that easy. But we’re not done yet. We’ll walk you through what each of these options does and how to adjust them to achieve optimal results.
Menu Options and What They Do
Height – By moving the slider toward the – side, the HUD moves downwards, towards the dashboard. Moving the slider toward the + side moves the HUD upwards, toward the roof. Taller people will likely want to move the slider toward the – side. Shorter people, the + side.
Brightness Control – The Auto option is the factory setting. To make the HUD brighter or dimmer, select the Manual option, and then scroll down to the Brightness option.
Brightness – Moving the slider toward the – side dims the display while moving the slider toward the + side brightens it. This only works when Brightness Control is set to Manual[buy now].
Display Information – Selecting this option opens another menu with three options: Navigation, Street Information, and Reset. Navigation toggles On/Off and shows turn-by-turn directions in the HUD; only works when Mazda vehicle has an integrated nav system. Street Information displays things like speed limit signs. It also toggles On/Off. Reset returns these settings to their factory default.
Active Driving Display – An On/Off toggle that turns on or off the HUD altogether.
Reset – Returns all of the above options to their factory default settings
