How to become Oracle Database Certified?
1. Associate Certification
Attaining the Associate Certification is the primary step in Oracle dba training. To become an Oracle Certified Associate or OCA, you are required to attempt and pass two tests.
Test 1: Choose any of the following courses
1. Oracle Database 12c: SQL Fundamentals 1Z0-061
- This certification exam validates your understanding and ability to create, maintain, edit and retrieve data in a database.

2. Oracle Database SQL Expert 1Z0-047

- The topics covered under this Certification include control privileges, data manipulation, data retrieval, database objects and system-level queries.
- The SQL concepts have to be understood in-depth, as mere memorization is not adequate.
Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I 1Z0-051
- As an improved version of the Introduction to Oracle9i SQL, this Certification aims to combine training, experience, and testing to provide candidates a strong foundation and expertise.
- It includes topics such as data retrieval from tables using SQL select statements, the use of subqueries, data manipulation.
- Since this is an updated version, it contains set and conditional operators as well.
Test 2: Oracle Database 11g: Administration I 1Z0-052
To pass this, you need knowledge on setting up secure oracle instances and database environments in networking environments. You should also know concepts like Oracle Database Architecture, database backup and recovery and configuration of security instances.
2. Professional Certification
The Oracle Database Administration Professional Certification ensures that an individual can comprehend, manage and upgrade Oracle Database and Oracle Grid Infrastructure for standalone servers. It covers all aspects of multitenant container databases, pluggable databases and application containers.
Be OCA certified
The prerequisite for this course is an OCA certification as this Certification is an upgrade in your Oracle training.
Test 1: Complete a course and take the test
- This Certification enables the candidate with the theoretical knowledge and the practical skills needed to configure and manage Oracle Databases.
- Candidates are required to complete one from among the preparatory Oracle courses available on the Oracle site and take the exam.

Attempt and complete any two courses from among 30 courses available.

Oracle Database 11g: Certified Master Exam 11GOCM
This is the final exam in the process of completion of the master certification.
