Ibizan Hounds can be wire-haired or shorthaired. Wirehaired coats range from 1 to 3 inches long and have the longest hairs on the thigh, back, and tail. Mustaches may be present on the dog's muzzle. Overall, shorthaired and wire-haired Beezers' hairs have a hard texture.
Ibizan Hounds may come in all shades of red, white, or red-and-white. Take note of their pigmentation, and don't get surprised to see this. Ibizan Hounds should have flesh-colored eye rims and noses— these parts should never be black. This breed can be groomed easily, regardless of the coat type. Weekly brushing is necessary to keep your dog's skin healthy and the coat shiny, as well as to get rid of loose hairs. You may also brush your dog more frequently if you like to further minimize the number of hairs your Ibizan Hound sheds. Bathing should be done only when necessary.
