Heungkuk Life's Yelena, who is in her third year in the V League, expressed satisfaction with her life in Korea.
Yelena signed a contract with KGC Ginseng Corporation (currently head of the government) in 2021 and stepped on the Korean court for the first time. He played in 114 sets of 32 games and scored 672 points and recorded a 39.44% success rate. He finished fifth in the overall offense and scoring category.
From the 2022-2023 season, the team has moved. He has joined hands with Heungkuk Life Insurance until this season. Last season, he scored 821 points in 135 sets in 36 games, 34 serve and 66 blocks. He was ranked third in scoring, fourth overall in offense, and second on serve.
Elena is doing her part again this season. He played in 35 sets in nine games and scored 189 points. It is ranked fifth overall in offense and sixth in scoring. In particular, he was ranked first in the rear attack category. The attack share within the team is 32.90% and the attack success rate is 42.79%.

He also showed his performance in the game on Thursday. He won 3-0 against GS Caltex at Samsan World Gymnasium in Incheon, scoring 18 points, the most in the team.

Yelena unfortunately finished second last season. This year, I'm trying to move forward with my team members to win the championship. On the team's change this season, Yelena said, “My performance has definitely changed. There are some players who have become mentally strong, especially older players. The V League has also changed this season. Unlike the last two seasons that Yelena experienced, the Asian quarter system was introduced for the first time. Each team has two foreign players. In response, Yelena said, “The game has become much more difficult. The tension in the court also increased. “I think there are three foreign players (including Kim Yeon-kyung) in our team,” he said, “I think the overall level of the game has improved.”
Like a long-lived foreigner, the adaptation to life in Korea has already been completed. According to Heungkuk Life Insurance officials, he drives alone and goes shopping. Usually, foreign players are followed by interpreters as daily managers. I spend a lot of time together to help me get to and from work or to help me live in Korea.
But not Yelena. He goes around more like a Korean than a Korean.
Yelena said, “I'm enjoying it. On my day off, I go outside so well that I rarely stay home. “I know (about Korea) better than Korean players, so I get teased,” he said with a big smile, “I'm having fun with my staff and players like friends.”
He continued, “I usually go shopping on my day off. However, there are some difficulties in shopping for clothes in Korea. The size is only available in large size in Korea. I'm looking for XXL or XL. So when I buy clothes, I shop online. As expected, fast delivery is the best in Korea,” he said.
Moma, who came to the V League with Yelena in the 2021-2022 season, also enjoys using delivery and delivery apps. As a veteran of his third year, he is melting into Korean life. The same was true of Yelena.
Yelena has a great affection for Heungkuk Life. He said, “I'm so proud of my team members. Today's attack, blocking, and defense were good. “I want to say I'm proud,” he said, jokingly adding, “I hope the coach is as satisfied with the team as I am.”
