Does this happen to you that your Android phone starts behaving weirdly when it is connected to the WiFi? That one message we don’t want to see is “Connected but no internet Access” as we all hate it. Several ways can lead up to this problem. Here are some of the things that you can try to fix this problem.

Fix Android Connected to Wi-Fi but No Internet

There is no particular reason for this connectivity issue. Down below we have listed some of the solutions that you can try to fix this issue.

Check if the router is connected to the Internet

This may sound normal but we all make stupid mistakes. You should check this issue by checking if your router’s connection is secure to the internet or not. There is a possibility that your router is not connected to the internet and that is why you are facing this issue. You can try connecting to that router wirelessly through another device and see if you can access the internet.

If you are not able to access the internet after securing the internet connection. Then there might two things happening:

Firstly: Your ISP is not working. You can confirm this by calling your ISP.

Secondly: Someone by mistake has cut the broadband cable coming to your house. You can easily confirm this by asking people living in your locality. Or maybe you have just exhausted your monthly data plan.

Check If your Mobile Data is off

This is also a common mistake that people make. People often have their mobile data turned on and then connect to a Wi-Fi network. Then you may not be able to access the internet. Please try disabling it first and then connect to a Wi-Fi network. You may think android is smart and it will prioritize Wi-Fi over mobile data. But sometimes the network requires Login before they can access the internet. So, even after securing the connection, if you have forgotten to log in. Then, the Android may not see it as an active connection and still might use the mobile data.

Check Time and Date Settings

You may think that we are just feeding you silly things but believe us these are some of the most basic and important things. The date and time settings can cause connectivity problems. All the android smartphones can fix their date and time information by themselves from your network operator. But if you have set it to manually then, you have to change it to automatic.

It is very easy to set the time and date to automatic. Go to the clock app. Then tap on the three vertical dots that are in the top right corner of your screen and click on the settings menu.

In the settings menu, click on the option of “Change date and time.” Now on the next screen, you will see the “Automatic date and time” toggle button next to it.  If you don’t want the time and date to be set automatically, then set it by yourself. You have to set proper time by selecting different options like “Set Date,” Set time,” and Select time zone.”

After setting the time and date, you have to Reboot your device. Then try to connect to the Wi-Fi network again.

Conclusion

Here are some of the ways by which you fix your issue of “Connected but no internet access.” We think these are some of the common things that people don’t notice when their phone doesn’t connect to the Wi-Fi.
