Now, in this Pandemic era, we just mostly live our lives on zoom or our bed or both. So, now Zoom is adding some new features, and one of them is Immersive View. It’s a feature geared towards recreating in-person meetings within a virtual space. Video calls are becoming a staple for a year now, and Zoom is becoming a leader in this section of the tech sphere. Now, Zoom has been used in all different types of things like work meetings, classed and in this lockdown, times keep in touch with friends and family.

There are a lot of options available to the users when using Zoom, Including device options. Now they are expanding those options by allowing users to make a video call on a Facebook Portal or an Amazon Echo Show 10. There are also different options that people are exploring for personalizing their background, and some of them trended too. One person snapped himself walking in a meeting by mistake and then put it as his background. The process is quick and easy on either an iOS, Android, or Windows Device. The other options that you can try as a background are Pixar-themed Backgrounds like Finding Nemo and Toy Story, as well as you can explore other impressive franchises like Star Wars and Harry Potter and Animal Crossing. Other Popular themes include Golden Girls and Seinfeld, along with HBO shows like Westworld and Game of thrones.

Now the Immersive View is currently available on Windows and macOS desktop clients for users who either have an account or not. With this immersive view enabled, users, will be able to create and also take part in a more immersive looking environment, which will feel like you are in a meeting, not the small boxes with your face on them. The Immersive view will include a boardroom where all the participants are sitting behind the same virtual table; cool, right!! Users can also become paintings on the wall hanging on a wall in a virtual art gallery. When Zoom announced this feature, it was just a classroom setting, where every person was sitting on their seat. But it is not currently working at its full potential Immersive view doesn’t support meeting recordings or older versions.

Now let’s Dive into Zoom Immersive View.

The first thing users have to make sure of is that they should have the latest version of Zoom (5.6.3 or higher) to use the Immersive View Meeting. To enable the Immersive View meeting, you have to go to the account settings and then click on the meeting tab before clicking on the immersive view. For hosts who are starting an immersive view, it only requires a click on view in the top-right corner followed by another click on Immersive View. The host will have options to place the people where they want, or they can just click on the automatic selection of the people’s position. Hosts also have the option of resizing participants by clicking on the video and then clicking and then dragging the blue box that appears to the size they want. After when everyone is sized and placed correctly, then just simply choose the background you want and then click on the immersive chat experience. Zoom doesn’t recommend you use the immersive View with a group of 25 people or more but it is not impossible to do as the rest of the people will be displayed above the screen as thumbnails.

Immersive View provides a more natural approach to meetings, and you can also call it a little fun with the work, which is not bad considering all we are doing these days is work and sleep. Immersive view eliminated the webcam titles and put participants together in the same scenario. It can also be fun with friends and family with interesting backgrounds and making fun of friends doing stupid things. These Zoom meetings are not going anywhere soon, Zoom’s Immersive View offers an opportunity to change how the meetings and video calls are done, and it’s something that feels more normal than the windows with your face or letter.

Conclusion:

So, in this world where all things are done over video calls, here is a new feature introduced by Zoom, which feels more realistic and fun to be around in meetings. Here are some features and settings that you can use to enable the Immersive view and enjoy it with your friends and family.
