January is a special month for us Indians. January 26 is the day India's glorious constitution was enacted. And what can be better than watching the might and pride of India's armed forces march down Rajpath, accompanied by the beautiful cultural display put on by various tableaux across states?

On January 26, 2022, the nation will celebrate its 73rd Republic Day. If you and your family are gearing up to don saffron, white, and green and join your neighbours and friends for a celebration, here are some dishes you may want to add to your spread –

Masaale Bhaat: In any Indian lunch menu, the rice dish is always the hero. Stir up a fragrant and mildly spiced Masaale Bhaat made with Aazol's unpolished Indrayani Rice for lunch. Indigenously sourced, the Indrayani rice makes for the best pulao style dishes. Add seasonal vegetables to your Masaale Bhaat to give it the perfect crunch and bite.

Mutton Rassa: Mutton rassa is a very earthy, spicy mutton chop curry that I prepare with coconut and Aazol's smoky Khandeshi Kaala Masala blend. The spice blend is a mix of onion, ginger, garlic, red chilli, sesame, clove, and pepper. The tangy gravy makes it the perfect accompaniment to a plate of steaming Masaale Bhaat and the perfect addition to your Republic Day lunch spread.

Chicken Sagoti: Tasty, rich and flavoursome, this chicken sagoti is great with thalipeeth and rice. Use Aazol Malvani Masala, a unique blend of spices that come from the coastal regions of Maharashtra. The mix of whole spices, red chilli, coriander, black pepper, mustard, and cinnamon works best with chicken, and this chicken curry is always a hit.

Thalipeeth: After a fragrant rice dish and some delicious curries, your Republic day lunch spread needs the perfect bread platter. Aazol's Thalipeeth Bhajani is a high quality roasted multigrain flour mix that makes for the most nutritious and tasty thalipeeths. Add chopped onion, fresh coriander, turmeric powder, carom seeds, red chilli powder, and ginger-garlic paste to your dough and shallow fry the thalipeeth for a genuinely unique experience.

Pithle: Adding a mild, rustic gram flour curry to this heady and heavy lunch menu can be a beautiful contrast and help tie in all the flavours together. Aazol's Kuleeth Peeth is also a superfood with numerous health benefits.

Daraba Ladoo Fudge: Made from whole wheat flour, powdered sugar, ghee, and cardamom, the Daraba Ladoo Fudge will make your lunch menu stand out. It is a traditional sweet that is slow-cooked at home and has a soft, velvety texture. This melt-in-the-mouth decadent sweet will surely be liked by all.

A Republic Day lunch is the perfect way to bring together people from the community and celebrate our country's culture, diversity, and traditions – on a platter!
