- Robert Pettit, M.D. is An ENT surgeon living in Carmel, and practicing in Monterey, California. He is a graduate of Stanford University, and trained at UC San Francisco, where he also taught medical students while a member of the clinical faculty. He was a pioneer in cochlear implant research—present and assisting in the birth and delivery of the first cochlear implant proven to convey meaningful sound to the deaf. Pettit is an award-winning film producer and director, and has been a professional ceramist. With a passion for blending history, drama, and romance, C.
