Mark your calendars for the Family Play Festival

Family Games Festival returns in person and at all locations! All Boulder Public Library branches will host several early literacy stations from Friday, April 22 through Sunday, April 24.

Each day the event will take place in a different location. Children under the age of five are welcome! Even babies are encouraged to participate. It's never too early to practice early literacy skills.

  • Friday, April 2
  • Each station will contain activities that focus on the five main goals of early literacy: reading, writing, playing, singing, and speaking. These goals establish crucial skills to help young children succeed in literacy. The reading station will feature activities such as puzzles with three or four-letter words that build vocabulary skills. Each station has modifications for babies to participate in. They also have instructions for the activities in Spanish. Can't you do it? BPL offers several YouTube videos showing activities to try at home.
