It's been an exciting couple of weeks, with Madden 24 coins the coming Super Bowl and the events of Media Day on Tuesday dominating headlines. It all culminates in Super Bowl 49 on Sunday. There's one final big event before kickoff, however there is this year's Madden NFL 24 Honors show on the night of Saturday, where the yearly awards will be presented to the best players in the league. It's the Madden NFL 24 Honors show will also be the time when it is the time for the announcement of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2015 will be announced.
The pool of finalists for this year's selection was narrowed to 15 early in January, which is down from a listing of 26, the beginning of November 2014. This list features former St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner, former Denver Broncos running back Terrell Davis, security John Lynch, and coaches Don Coryell, Tony Dungy and Jimmy Johnson.
It's a very strong pool as always and has seen several big names removed out of it. The players who didn't qualify in their first year of eligibility include Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt and Edgerrin James.
The complete list of finalists comprises Warner, Davis, Lynch, Orlando Pace, Junior Seau, Morten Andersen, Jerome Bettis, Tim Brown, Kevin Greene, Charles Haley, Marvin Harrison, Will Shields, coaches Coryell, Duny and Johnson, as well as contributors Bill Polian and Ron Wolf. Mick Tingelhoff is the lone senior finalist.

Pace, Warner and Seau are the top standouts of the players who made it to the finals. Warner helped lead the Rams to an Super Bowl win, and afterward, Seau took in the Arizona Cardinals to another in the loss. Pace protected Warner's blind side while in St. Louis, and Seau was a part of eight All-Pro selections and was the 1992 defensive player of the year.
The Hall of Fame announcement will be announced within the Madden NFL 24 Honors ceremony that begins around 9 p.m. ET at the time of Saturday. The show will air through NBC starting from Phoenix Symphony Hall situated in Phoenix, Ariz.
