Screen printing improves the quality and longevity of your printed t-shirt designs. Our studios only use water-based inks for hoodie screen printing. These inks are environmentally friendly and offer a high-quality non-plastic finish. T-shirt printing in NJ packages are available from us. These T-shirt deals are intended to make purchasing bespoke T-shirts quick and easy. VAT and shipping are included in the prices. Our screen printed T-shirt minimum purchase is 25.

The Benefits of Screen Printing

T-shirt purchases get cheaper as the quantity increases since each T-shirt produced absorbs a part of the initial setup cost. Our screen printed minimum apparel order is 25, with our T-shirt printing discounts of 50 or more frequently providing the best value for money.

All orders are printed in-house by our studio, which uses the screen printing method, which is still unparalleled in print quality. Excellent results were achieved with spot colors, special effect inks, and photographic reproduction. In addition, when printing mass custom T-shirt orders, screen printing provides wash fastness, a soft hand, and consistent results.

·        Water-Based inks

Blackwater Studios specializes in water-based inks and has extensive expertise with them. In our workshops, no plastisol (plastic) inks are used. Water-based inks are the most ecologically friendly screen printing and are very gentle to the touch. The prints that arise will endure as long as the t-shirt itself. The table below outlines the many types and applications of our water-based inks.

·        Standard

Our regular ink is non-toxic to the environment. It is clear, flowing, and absorbed into the cloth, serving like a dye. This ink is used for printing darker colors onto lighter-colored t-shirts, such as white, ecru, and pastels. Darker t-shirts will affect the final hue of lighter printed inks. For example, yellow ink will darken as it dries. However, any underlying T-shirt colors will not affect black ink. Darker inks are used on white or light clothes. Therefore, there is no need for an under base or a discharge.

·        Ink Discharge

Discharge ink uses a bleaching technique to remove the original color from the T-shirt. The bleaching process occurs within the conveyor dryer, where the overprinted pattern colors are visible. This enables the use of lighter inks on darker t-shirts. However, discharge printing produces the softest print on dark-colored t-shirts. In addition, not all t-shirt fabric compositions/colors completely bleach. For the smoothest finish, use dark or colored clothes.

·        Opaque Ink

They are used for highly vivid print colors and fabrics that do not completely fade. Because this opaque ink is the water-based version of the more regularly used plastisol inks, the screen print would not be as soft as when the discharge procedure is employed. This water-based ink, like plastisol, rests on top of the t-shirt fabric, frequently with an under the base to guarantee the colors remain bright. It is used on dark or colored clothes as an alternative to discharge inks.

Opaque Vs. Discharge

Once we receive all of the details regarding your order, including the intended style of your design and a complete list of garment colors you want to be printed, Blackwater Studios will be able to help you decide which inks to use. When the softest print is required, we recommend standard and discharge printing. However, when your chosen clothing colors do not fade and your garment color is the most critical factor, we will recommend opaque water-based inks. These produce extremely vibrant design colors on any T-shirt fabric type.

We utilize your design under the base screen to keep your printed colors looking bright on dark garments. The under base screen consists of the whole procedure being screen-printed in white ink as a base layer or undercoat. The additional design colors were then printed on top. Regardless of the number of colors in the design, just one under base is necessary. There is no need to print this base coat if the T-shirt fabric is white or light in color.
