Hulk is a crucial character in the Avengers series. He is an aggressive green-skinned monster. The first film featuring Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was released in 2003. The famous Hollywood actor Eric Bana played the role of Bruce Banner/Hulk in the film, Hulk. Ang Lee directed this film. The story of the film is based on the Marvel comics, and according to that, Bruce Banner used to work at a laboratory as a biochemist. One day, Bruce got involved in a lab accident, which included gamma radiations. Soon after this incident, Bruce started to feel some changes in his body, like the ability to turn himself into a green-skinned monster whenever he was provoked.
A reboot to the film, Hulk was released in 2008 as ‘The Incredible Hulk’ and also was the second movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Based on the Marvel comics, this film was directed by Louis Leterrier. The actor Edward Norton played the role of Bruce Banner/Hulk in this film. Later, the actor Mark Ruffalo replaced all the above actors with playing the role of Bruce Banner/Hulk in all the other MCU movies.
Most of the characters from the team Avengers might get replaced in the upcoming Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At the end of the film Avengers: Endgame, most of the superheroes had to sacrifice their lives, and that is why Marvel can’t replace all the six Avengers in the upcoming new Phase 4 and 5 in the MCU.
Red Hulk could be the perfect villain for the Phase 4 and even beyond in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. General Thunderbolt Ross first played the role of a villain in Phase 1 of the MCU in the film, The Incredible Hulk. After the confirmation of Thunderbolt Ross playing a role in the upcoming movie, Black Widow, there is every chance for him to play the role of Red Hulk in the new Phase 4 of the MCU. However, his presence in the upcoming movies of the MCU is still uncertain.
The Appeal Of The Red Hulk
Red Hulk was about to play a small cameo in the movies, Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame, but it did not happen, and the Red Hulk remained only in the Marvel comics. Now the time has come for the Red Hulk to join the MCU. Thunderbolt Ross is an excellent option for the next MCU villain because he is also essential to the government and can arrange a group of villains under his command. Also, Thunderbolt Ross has a personality to beat the Avengers and could surely get fit into the role of Red Hulk because he could be a significant threat to the Avengers.
When Might He Appear?
Though there are very few chances for the Red Hulk to appear in ‘The Falcon and Winter Soldier’ but he can play a role in the upcoming Spider-Man film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There is another rumor that Disney+ is going to make a series and can cast Red Hulk in it. It will depend upon MCU and Disney+ who will first give a chance to Thunderbolt Ross. However, there are maximum chances of Disney+ to cast Thunderbolt Ross as Red Hulk before MCU because of the upcoming Disney+ series, She-Hulk. The Red Hulk can fit thoroughly against She-Hulk. It is still uncertain where the Red Hulk might make his debut, and the MCU would also think to cast him if they planned to give a chance to Thunderbolt Ross.
