Italy Schengen Visa requirements for US Residents

The following list of documents are required so as to get an Italian visa within the US:

  • A valid passport or Travel document. Please make sure:
  • You should have the passport issued within the last 10 years,
  • That your passport are going to be valid for a minimum of three (3) months after the date you exit the Schengen Area.
  • A valid United States Green card or a legitimate United States visa with valid I-94 and/or valid I-20 or I-797 + 1 photocopy, or an Advance Parole document.   • Travel Insurance stating that you simply are covered just in case of a medical emergency and repatriation in Italy and within the Schengen Area (minimum coverage of € 30.000).

  • Valid I-20
  • Reference letter from institution (school/college/university) stating that you simply are in good standing, your major and therefore the expected date of graduation.

Invitation Letter from a recognized & acknowledged private or public agency, institution, or organization for political, scientific or cultural events and initiatives;
