The Jaguar XE 2023 is a midsize premium saloon and remains the primary-level saloon in the Jaguar family. Jaguar XE was initially introduced in 2014 and then first became popular in the UK in 2015. It is manufactured at Jaguar’s Castle Bromwich factory in the Midlands in the UK.
Given an overhaul and facelift at the beginning of 2019, the XE’s specification was improved and its price was lower. Generally, its fashionable design and appealing driving experience is highly recommended.

Meanwhile, Stuart Gallagher of Evo says the XE’s internal and external design is sharper than ever before. The Top Gear team comments that the car is a brilliant companion to let users drive in a comfortable and quiet zone.
But it also suffers criticism for its impracticality and dull information and entertainment system compared with its competitors. It is noted that the XE’s back seats are too narrow although it has a premium interior that has been greatly improved since 2019.
Parker’s Keith Adams is one of the critics of the car’s infotainment. The reason is that this system can be challenging to press lower items on the screen accurately while it is on the move, especially when partially blocked by the gear selector.
Above all, reviewers agree the Jaguar XE is a perfect executive saloon and a good surprising alternative to its German competitors in the high-end compact executive car field. Andrew Brady from Heycar points out that people are looking for an alternative to the 3 Series, A4 and C-Class, and Jaguar’s stylish XE can be a good choice for them.
The Jaguar XE, whose price is close to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class’s and Audi A4’s, has received an Expert Rating of 73% since March 2023 based on 28 reviews from the British motoring media.
