PFS (polyferric sulfate) is an inorganic polymer flocculating agent that comes in both solid and liquid forms. The solid form of polyferric sulfate is a light yellow powder, whereas the liquid form comes in a red-brown tint and is packaged in drums. It's utilized in municipal and industrial water treatment, sludge dewatering, and water purification to remove metals like selenium and arsenic. It's also used as a coagulant in the purification of greasy water.
It is preferred for water treatment because of its rapid precipitation speed, increased density of alumen ustum, and reduced sewage sludge. It is also useful throughout a broad pH range, making it suitable for use in drinking water, industrial wastewater, urban sewage, and industrial water.
