IELTS test center in Mississauga is a well-known test that many international students choose to take as it is the most favorable option for individuals who are searching for higher education abroad. When it comes to numbers, you’ll be surprised to know that about 140 countries carry out IELTS Test booking every year and about 1,600 locations are arranged to take this test.

Although it is required by some universities, this test isn’t always necessary to gain entry into a particular college. If one takes the Academic version of the exam, they’ll need to obtain a score of 6.5 or above on each section (Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing) in order to get into many colleges. It’s currently available in two formats: Academic and General Training. The latter format is specially designed for those who need proof of their language proficiency for Visa purposes. If you also want to apply for an IELTS test, you have to take care of these three steps.

Step 1

First of all, you have to choose the date and location at which you’re most comfortable to give the test. When you search for IELTS dates, you’ll come across several websites that can guide you for the same with IDP being the most common one. When it comes to the location, you can choose if you want to give the test online or offline and according to the locations nearby will be sorted out for you.

Step 2

The second step is to complete the registration and user profile. All you need to do is to upload your ID proof but make sure that the scan is of high quality. You can use your current valid passport or Permanent Resident (PR) Card. Then, you have to pay the fee but only with a credit card or Interact Online. Also, once you book the test, you’re only given 24 hours to pay the fee otherwise your application will expire and you have to go through the whole process again.

Step 3

You’ll receive a confirmation email, just review that and start preparing for the test.

Things to Remember

In case you’re re-applying for a test, there’s no need to create a user profile again as the database will retrieve your previous data. Just sign in using the same username and password you used when you created your ID, just get on with it and there’s no need to upload the documents again. When you arrive at the test center, make sure that you’re carrying the original copies of the ID document that was used for the registration; otherwise, you won’t receive the entry.
