At first, you might feel that Tsui Wong looks like an age old place and wonder what can they offer to pleasure the palate. But then considering that they have been around for more than 40 years, something must be out of the ordinary.
Located at the heart of East Patel Nagar, Tsui Wong felt like an undiscovered restaurant ever though it was established in 1977. Probably it feels like a secret undiscovered place as it is not known to many outside its peripherals.

Owned & managed by Alvin and his brother who are full-time working professionals as well. It was heart-felt to see that they have kept the age old family restaurant alive and kicking and now are planning to expand further in the restaurant business.

Maintained well for an old establishment, the interiors give the feel of a classic Chinese restaurant decorated in red all across which makes it nice and cosy.

Apart from Chinese food, Tsui Wong also serves Thai food and some Tibetan as well.

FOOD TALK:
For starters we dug into some Chilli Garlic Crispy Chicken, Shredded Lamb and Dry Chilli Paneer among others. If you are a fan of chicken wings, your first order at Tsui Wong should be the Chilli Garlic Crispy Chicken. Never have I ever seen boneless chicken wings prepared in a Chinese dish that was absolutely finger licking good. And the Dry Chilli paneer is a perfect parallel counter for the vegetarians.

Food Tip – As we all know that milk products don’t have much of a shelf life and should preferably be consumed fresh. Therefore, paneer dishes can be dicey at certain places and can leave us with an aching stomach.

But the Chilli Paneer here was fresh, soft and god damn tasty, and believe me, this is coming from a hard-core non-vegetarian.

Moving on to the Main course, we indulged in classic Chinese dishes like Kung Pao Chicken, Fish Szechwan Gravy, Veg Manchurian Gravy and Hakka Noodles & Fried Rice.

The Fish was a bit bland as compared to the delicious Kung Pao Chicken and Manchurian.

Overall a good feast was what we had.

No Chinese meal is complete without Darsaan & Ice-cream. For those who are not familiar with this dish, Darsaan is Honey glazed fried Wonton noodles, toppled with sesame seeds which is served with ice-cream.

The service is a tad bit slow as most of the staff members at Tsui Wong have been serving for as long as 20+ years, but they cater to your needs with great care and regard.

Overall a decent place to dine-in for lunch or dinner with family and friends.

And for those who love to eat at home, Tsui Wong home delivers as well.
