Ever since the Chairs for Office were introduced into the field of office chairs, a new category of  Mesh Chairs also became extremely popular, where Ergonmonic Office Chairs stood to be very unique as they had their original styling designed according to the way the user feels when they tend to utilize it. Due to their sudden popularity and usage, almost every office across the globe manufactures their own mesh chairs according to their own comfort and thus many new versions of mesh chairs have been on the move. It also means that the market is now flooded with mesh chairs which are also available at a cheap rate importing chairs and also have replaced the market of ergonomic chairs as well. The mesh office chair topic thus is a very polarized topic to discuss as people love or hate them, they tend to use them and also have faced many minor issues which have led towards a change in their mind about the fit which is not for them particularly.

However, there are 3 distinct types of mesh chairs. The first type is a mesh seat and a back with no padding, where the back can simply be stretched across the chair frame on the sea and back. The second type is back with a padded mesh seat, where the seat feels like a padded office chair, however the backrest does have the mesh stretched across the frame. Lastl, the third type is a padded seat and a padded back, where such models usually give a very upholstery look and look quite similar to a traditional office chair. Let’s dive into some of the minor problems people usually face with the use of mesh chairs.

  • No padding mesh chairs can become either very saggy or very stiff: This is one of the biggest problems with a mesh chair as while the design can support and comfort you, it can be either too soft or too hard to sit on. As the higher-end of the mesh chairs can be considered to be upholstered, the lower-end can be typically hard. While it is too soft, the mesh will start to sink where the user will start getting a feeling of floating which is uneasy at times. Also, another major issue is that the soft mesh has the tendency to expand and then contract more than the hard mesh, therefore the dispersion of weight cannot be conducted entirely on the seat, which can result in uneven sitting and can cause a problem in your tailbone.
  • The mesh can be abrasive to the skin: The fabric which is used in the mesh chairs have a coarser leather and fabric which causes a higher chances to cause abrasions on the skin and can also damage their clothing such as your pants or dress. It is also important to understand the fact that there needs to be a wide range of quality which should be used while making the seat primarily. However, better quality mesh should be used which should be smooth and soft. If not, then it can also lead to serious irritation which can also cause rashes.
