When it comes to security, it is of utmost importance that no stone be left unturned. Because even the smallest neglect can have dire consequences in the field of safety and protection for both the public and the private personnel. The outright strategy and the planning should be done in such a way that every aspect is covered multiple times, over and over again to make sure there are no loopholes or safety drawbacks or any concerns that can affect the safety protocols in any way. The intruder only needs a small space to get in and compromise the security structure from the inside. All of us are aware of the common places that are susceptible to breaches, but with proper planning and implementation, we can negate the chance of a breach.

The Four Areas of Vulnerability

1. The lack of Staff Training

The lack of Staff Training is one major concern in the security industry because one second of lapse from the guards can give enough time for the intruder to gain access and wreak havoc. Intruders are not like how we see them in movies with all the fancy clothing and equipment, their main goal is to gain access and make the most of what they find inside the venue. They will do everything they can to fool the first layer of defense, that is the guards, by showing fake ID, acting like a VIP, and everything. So the bouncers must be very well trained in spotting any kind of strange and suspicious behavior. They will even try to cause confusion among the crowd and slip through the carnage that follows.

2. Lack of Advanced Security Systems

Technology has come a long way from inception and the lineup of products in the security field has also increased and most importantly improved. But the main cause of concern here is, whether the security service team is using the latest security system in the field or still holding on to the outdated ones. Using low-resolution cameras, outdated motion technology sensors can all invite trouble. For example, the reason why all these products are updated from time to time is to rectify some faults or drawbacks in them, which an infiltrator has already found out. High-resolution cameras will provide the ground team as well as the control of a clear picture of whats is happening in full detail, add to that a 360-degree camera and state-of-the-art motion sensor, there is no chance for anyone to beat the system.

3. Gaining access through remote doors and windows

If you thought the security service team is the only one with the floor plan of a building then you are wrong. The infiltrator is always trying to be one step ahead and will do everything he can to bypass the layers of security. One way they bypass the motion sensors is through windows in remote parts of the building that is not personally secured by a physical guard. It is not possible to install motion sensors in every window of the building as it will trigger false alarms. So the security team must make sure they have security personnel even in the remote areas of the building all the time.

4. Door Gaps

This is one of the most overlooked areas of security and one that the infiltrator hopes the security team hasn’t done anything to correct its flaws. Usually, this is what security service providers do, they place two sensors, one to alert them of someone entering and the next one on the other side, at the exit to alert them that the person has exited through the door. But the system can be fooled by triggering the exit motion sensor, so make sure there is more than one motion sensor to alert the team that the person has actually left the room and is not lingering around.

Infiltrators, criminals, and offenders are doing everything they can to stay one step ahead of us and compromise our safety and security, so we must give them no chance of infiltration by minimizing the security lapse.
