Every year lakhs of students are drawn towards examinations that guarantee jobs in public sector banks. However, cracking Banking Exams is not an easy task- there are a limited number of jobs in this sector, competition is high and the exams are tough.

 

One aspect that sets these jobs apart from the rest is that they are open to people from any educational background. Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree, basic computer literacy, aptitude and general awareness about banking industry.

SBI PO

State Bank of India is the largest Indian bank and public sector financial institution with over 450 million customers and 22,000 branches. SBI PO exam is conducted by State Bank of India for the post of Probationary Officer. SBI, on its official website announces the examination through notification every year to recruit the eligible and deserving candidates as Probationary Officers from the applicants. SBI PO exam is one of the most desired exams across the country for the applicants who want to make a career in the banking and financial sector. The exam is divided into three phases – Preliminary, Main Exam and Group Discussion & Interview.

SBI SO

SBI SO exam is conducted by State Bank of India to recruit officers in various specified categories. SBI invites applications for the recruitment of Specialist Officers (SO) against vacancies in various departments. Generally, recruitment is conducted for managerial posts, however, notifications are also being issued for recruitment at senior level. At present, recruitment is going on for many posts. Recruitment is generally conducted in two stages, online examination and personal interview, however, in many cases, recruitment is done by shortlisting candidates followed by personal interview.

SBI Clerk

SBI Clerk exam is conducted every year by SBI to recruit candidates for clerical cadre posts. Every year a huge number of graduate candidates apply for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales). Candidates who are recruited as SBI Clerk are designated as cashier, depositor and other posts who become the face of a particular SBI bank branch. The selection process is divided into two phases- preliminary and main examination. Tests for knowledge of the specified selected local language will be conducted as a part of the selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online main exam but before joining the bank. Candidates who do not qualify in this test will not be offered an appointment.

IBPS PO

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officers or IBPS PO exam is conducted every year. IBPS CRP PO/MT Exam consists of Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Interview. which 4.37 lakh candidates appeared in the exam. There is a big demand for the post of Probationary Officers/ Management Trainee (PO/MT) in Public Sector Banks in India because of the career growth and attractive salary. 

IBPS SO

IBPS SO is well known as Institute of Banking Personnel Selection – Specialist Officer (SO) exam is conducted to help recruit eligible candidates for various public sector banks in India. IBPS SO is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is a government owned bank personnel recruitment agency that came into existence in 1975.

IBPS Clerk

IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2023 is mandatory by the organization and is conducted once in a year. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will arrange to conduct Online Preliminary Examination, declare the result of Online Preliminary Examination and inform the shortlisted candidates about Online Main Examination.

RBI Officer Grade B

Reserve Bank of India conducts RBI Grade B exam every year to recruit officers in Common Seniority Group (CSG) in Grade B (General) – DR, DEPR, and DSIM. For candidates who are looking for a prestigious job, job security and good salary, RBI Grade-B job is a good option.
