It's usually a good idea to start your RV trip in Portland, Oregon's largest city. From here, it is easy to connect to the highway to eastern, central, southern and coastal Oregon. If you plan to stay in one of the national or state parks or monuments, the reservation must be made in advance, sometimes even a year in advance.
