Make your ASAv's initial master template
Download the ASAv qcow2 file for your preferred OS version from Cisco.com.
Launch GNS3 and select File > New Template.
Choose firewalls from the list of GNS3 appliances and set up Cisco ASAv for hands-on labs.
Install the Appliance on the GNS3 VM as Permitted and Set Up Cisco ASAv on GNS3 for Labs
Hit next after selecting “Default” for the VM type. Next, provide the name of the VM. A 2048MB RAM setting should be used with the x86 64 Qemu binaries. Tap next.
For hands-on labs, configure Cisco ASAv on GNS3.
Choose “ASAv Version” and “Install,” then click “Next”
The downloaded *qcow2 appliance would be found locally by GNS3 and added to the list so you could choose. Next after selecting your ASAv version.

Select Next to continue.
It is advisable to test your idea on a single ASAv firewall, and if it has been successful, add it to the master template as the gold image for subsequent duplicate ASAv firewalls.
Dragging ASAv into the workspace
To modify the symbol, right-click on ASAv
Choose the Symbol for your ASAv, switch the console type to VNC, and change the category to Security Devices. Later on, when we deploy this to our master ASAv appliance, we will modify this to telnet.
